FINDING OUR SCHOOL:
From Oxford station (approximately 10-15 minutes' walk):
Exit the station to the large square in front and turn left. Walk past the Said Business School, keep straight, with the Royal Oxford Hotel on the right up Hythe Bridge Street and over the river. When Hythe Bridge Street curves, cross straight over to George Street and follow this to the city centre. You will reach a crossroads with Magdalen Street East and Cornmarket Street, and, directly opposite, Broad Street. Our school is upstairs at number 1-5 Broad Street. Look for the Embassy sign.
Blue Boar is a cosy, self-catering, student residence in a fully renovated heritage building. It is located in the heart of Oxford, close to shops, cafés, restaurants and everything Oxford has to offer. Blue Boar is a 5-minute walk from our Study Centre and includes six shared en-suite rooms, a kitchen and common room to share with fellow students, internet access and on-site laundry.

Oxford Mansions is a 10 minute walk from the Study Centre. It’s perfectly located near interesting shops, a variety of restaurants and some of Oxford’s main attractions. Studio rooms with en-suite bathroom, kitchenette and a small double bed suitable for a couple.

Live as part of an English-speaking household while you learn English in Oxford. Depending on the type of accommodation you book, you’ll have your own bedroom, or share a room with another Embassy student. You will eat breakfast and, if you have a half board booking, also evening meals with your hosts. It's a great chance to meet local residents and share their way of life while learning English in Oxford. Living with English-speakers also means that you will never stop learning and improving your fluency.

TRAVELLING AROUND THE CITY:
Oxford has an excellent bus service. The main bus stops are on Magdalen Street and St Aldates in the city centre.
Cycling is a great way to get around Oxford as the city is very flat.
Trains run to/from Oxford regularly from London (up to 4 an hour) and from other major cities in the UK.
From the airport
Take London Underground from Heathrow Airport, then change to British Rail at Paddington Station. From Gatwick Airport take the train direct from Gatwick Train Station (in the airport) to Oxford Train Station.
COST OF LIVING:
We currently advise students taking English courses in Oxford to budget approximately GB60 per week. This will cover all basic transport, food and entertainment costs
